AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Indiana Pacers placed Travis Best on the injured list Saturday, and didn't take Jermaine O'Neal with them to Detroit for their game against the Pistons.
Best suffered a strained right hamstring after playing just 3 minutes against Minnesota on Friday. He will have to sit out a minimum of five games, meaning he won't be eligible to return until the Pacers play at Portland on Nov. 27.
"I was running up the court full speed and it just went," Best said before Saturday's game at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
