It takes more than a sprained ankle to stop Pistons power forward Ben Wallace.
Or that's at least the story Wallace wants Coach Rick Carlisle to believe today.
Wallace, who turned his left ankle during the first half of Saturday's home game, didn't practice Monday. Instead, he took treatment and plans on playing tonight at Toronto.
"The ankle is sore, but I think I can play on it," Wallace said. "This ain't nothing I ain't never felt before. If I didn't think I could play the way I could, I wouldn't go out there.
"I think I play better when I'm a little wounded."
He walked with a noticeable limp Monday and limited his physical exertion to a little running to test the ankle.
"My understanding is he doesn't feel that this is serious and there is a good chance he could play (tonight)," Carlisle said. "He'll probably be a game-time decision.
