Omar Cook, the ex-St Johns product who was drafted by the Denver Nuggets, held out for a contract, got the contract and then was later waived is back in the NBA again, signing with Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks.  In order to accommodate for Cook the Mavericks waived guard Darrick Martin, who was 0-10 in three games this season.

Cook was immediately placed on the injured list with 'tendanitis in his left knee' while center Evan Eschmeyer was activated.
