Alonzo Mourning's latest round of blood tests showed improvement, and the Heat center will be back on the court if more tests this week deliver similar results, Heat coach Pat Riley suggested Tuesday.

Riley did not rule out the possibility of Mourning playing Friday against Dallas.

Although Mourning has declined to discuss his health since Friday, Riley called his latest results ``decent.''

``All we can do is be guardedly optimistic,'' Riley said. ``It's a day-to-day thing. I'm feeling good. . . . because I see him at practice every day trying to do some things. He doesn't look any different.''

Last week, Mourning's blood-test results showed his first setback in several months.

Mourning, suffering from kidney disease, did not play the past three games on the advice of doctors.
