For the Indiana Pacers, there will be no three-game winning streak. No positive send-off to a Western trip. No big win over one of the NBA's premier teams.
No hamburgers, either.
The Pacers' 97-79 loss at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday brought a sour ending to their three-game homestand and a sour beginning to their five-game trip.
They were at a scheduling disadvantage by playing their third game in four days and the second half of a back-to-back set, while San Antonio had Thursday off. That had Pacers coach Isiah Thomas worried before the game started.
