In a game in which the Wolves (10-2) held Spurs forward Tim Duncan to two points in the first half and held San Antonio to 40.7 shooting, Nesterovic impressed not just with his career-high 24 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one blocked shot, but with the 23 shots he took.

"Sometimes he hasn't had 23 shots in two games, let alone one," Wolves coach Flip Saunders said. "This was a good test for him, because you're not going to find two better big guys in combination, defensively, than Robinson and Duncan. He made some tough shots, he was very persistent on the glass, he was very aggressive."

Nesterovic, 25, got his points via offensive rebounds and tip-backs early, scoring 10 of the Wolves' first 14 points -- which was key, considering the Wolves shot just 10 for 27 in the first quarter. The team ran several plays for him later.
