The cameras were rolling and Grant Hill, for at least the fourth time, patiently answered the question.
"It's just another game right now," he said. "I mean, I look at that Pistons team and there's a lot of new faces. There's a new coaching staff. There's only two or three guys there now that I played with. And, plus, they got new uniforms. It's a whole different team.
"The bottom line is, no matter who we are playing next, after we just lost at home, we have to try to bounce back."
"Grant will tell you that he is beyond it, but he's lying," Rivers said. "Stack will tell you he is beyond it, but he's lying, too. Every team I was ever on and left, even though I left on good terms, I still wanted to come back and hurt them. That's just human nature."
Hill admits to having regrets about how the situation ended in Detroit.
"I am just tired of the mental drama of it all," he said. "I look back and I wish things could have been different. I take some of the blame, but we were all to blame. We all made mistakes and messed up. It was time to part ways."
