Jerry Stackhouse knows his priorities.
If tonight were Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Stackhouse would play despite a painful left groin strain.
But it's only the end of November, so Stackhouse will miss tonight's home game against Charlotte.
"It still hurts, so I'm not going to take any chances," said Stackhouse, who will miss his third straight game because of the injury. "It's nice not to be a burden being out of the lineup, the guys are picking it up for me. It lets me heal.
"I'm feeling a lot better, I just don't want to put into a situation where I'll miss more games than I have to. I'd rather miss three or four games now than miss like 10 later because I didn't take care of it."
