Can Antonio McDyess play on one leg?
Probably not, but the Denver Nuggets couldn't be any worse off if he tried.
McDyess offered visible proof Wednesday that he is progressing as he rehabilitates his surgically repaired left knee. The Nuggets power forward jogged before his teammates faced the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter.
The Nuggets, meanwhile, offered Exhibit 11 in their ongoing case against playing NBA basketball without their all-star power forward.
The game itself -- a 95-80 Celtics blowout -- was an airtight indictment, as far as McDyess is concerned.
"Sometimes I can't watch," McDyess said afterward. "I just turn my head."
Nuggets coach Dan Issel was not afforded the same luxury. He had to watch as Celtics center Tony Battie -- "El Busto," as Issel referred to him years ago -- dunked his way to nine points and hauled in 10 rebounds.
