Terrell Brandon scored a season-high 22 points, nearly double his average, against the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, but the Wolves point guard said Friday that he still considers himself the team's fourth scoring option.

Brandon, the team's clear No. 2 scorer last season, reiterated that he is more concerned with setting up Kevin Garnett, Wally Szczerbiak and even Joe Smith this season.

Brandon is averaging 13.6 points per game, down from 16 points last season. But he is sixth in the NBA in assists at 8.5 per game.

"It's not like last year where KG and I had all the load on us," he said. "Wally is more experienced, and Joe is back. Wally is our second option now. Joe is our third. I can just kind of play off them now.

"I can score eight or nine points and still feel I'm just as effective. Some people don't see it that way. But I've already averaged 20 points in my career. Now I can average 12 or 13 and be just as important. Keeping my turnovers down and keeping my assists up, those are the things I pay more attention to."
