Wednesday, December 19, 2001 - Nuggets coach Dan Issel will make a public apology to the Mexican community Wednesday at Luna's restaurant in north Denver.

Though Issel apologized last week to his family, to the Nuggets organization and to a group of Latino leaders, those leaders said the Mexican community deserved a nod since they were most slurred when, after another frustrating loss, Issel turned to Latino heckler Bobby Bowman and called him a "(expletive)
