Denver Nuggets coach and president Dan Issel will resign, possibly as soon as today, several NBA sources confirmed.
Numerous NBA sources told the Rocky Mountain News last week that Issel was considering resignation. But Issel insisted he would return to the Nuggets bench Saturday, after he had served his four-game suspension for shouting an ethnically explicit insult at a spectator Dec. 11.
