If you're looking for good news during the Pistons' seven-game losing streak -- their longest since the 1997-98 season -- the new starting lineup probably can't play any worse than it did in the first half of Friday night's 87-78 loss to the Magic.
With Chucky Atkins and Corliss Williamson starting in place of Dana Barros and Michael Curry, the Pistons managed only 30 points in the half, digging a 12-point hole. The Pistons got as close as 64-60 early in the fourth quarter, but the Magic (14-17) ended a three-game losing streak and dropped the Pistons to 14-13.
"I thought the other guys played played well enough for us to win, but I didn't," said Pistons guard Jerry Stackhouse, who scored only 13 points on 3-of-15 shooting. "It's disappointing. I have to find a way to somehow pick it up and do better for us. Hopefully it happens Sunday.
