DENVER (10-21) AT CHARLOTTE (14-18)

Starting lineups

The Hornets won 99-96 on Dec.11 in Denver in the last game coached by Dan Issel. Frustration over the finish and his team's five-game skid apparently contributed to Issel's postgame verbal attack on a fan who criticized him. Issel left the team after serving a four-game suspension.

The Nuggets have dropped eight straight on the road and are 2-10 in away games. They haven't played since Friday and they're 0-8 with two or more days between games.

The Hornets will have forwards P.J. Brown and Lee Nailon back in the starting lineup. Brown sat out Saturday's loss to New Jersey with an ankle sprain. Nailon had a stomach virus, didn't start and played only 11 minutes off the bench.

Today's game is the first of three for the Hornets at home this week. They face Atlanta on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday at the Coliseum.
