The Pistons, according to Coach Rick Carlisle, will not break out of their current funk unless they figure out a way to reinvigorate themselves, particularly at the defensive end.
To that end, Carlisle has reinserted Michael Curry into the starting lineup, replacing Corliss Williamson.
"The reason for the change is not what Corliss didn't do as a starter," Carlisle said Thursday. "It's more what we miss from him when he comes off the bench. And having Michael Curry in there to start the game helps our chemistry in a certain way.
"You know, it's time to recommit ourselves to the defensive side of the game."
Williamson started the last seven games. The Pistons were 2-5 in those games and averaged 90.3 points and allowed 97.
