Nick Van Exel is still a member of the Denver Nuggets team... for now.  On December 11 Van Exel asked to be traded from the team after he announced he had grown tired of the losing, and now Marc Spears of the Denver Post is reporting that 'agent' Tony Dutt is "optimistic" that he can help facilitate Van Exel's exit.

"I feel at this stage we're proceeding," said Dutt. "There are options out there, but there is nothing out there that is on the table. But there is a good possibility we can get something done before the deadline. For any deal to happen, it has to be fair for both sides. We're exploring every option."

Dutt was fired by Van Exel before the season, but he states he is planning to re-hire him.
