STARTING LINEUPS
The Pistons were one of the league's hottest teams in early season, rolling out with one of the East's best records under first-year coach Rick Carlisle. They've cooled since, dropping into the middle of the pack. The Pistons have lost two straight at the Palace and have an 11-game road losing streak after Friday's loss at Boston.
Former North Carolina star Jerry Stackhouse leads Detroit in scoring with a 22.4 average, the NBA's 14th best figure. Forward Ben Wallace leads the league in blocks (3.21) and will create problems for Charlotte on the interior.
The Hornets and Pistons split the first two games of their four-game season series, with each winning on the other's court. Charlotte won 104-96 in Detroit on Nov. 28 with Baron Davis scoring 38 and P.J. Brown grabbing 20 rebounds.
Detroit won 110-105 two nights later in Charlotte with Stackhouse scoring 31. The Hornets have won four straight at the Palace.
