Avery Johnson agreed to a three-year deal with the Denver Nuggets because he thought the team would be in contention. At least a little bit. But it is not. Not in contention, not the least bit in control. The Nuggets are in a state of chaos. They have changed head coaches, presidents, and they have just simply changed.
But the major changes are a result of interim head coach Mike Evans, who controls the whole operation. And he hasn't done much to alter the way the players view life. Sure, practice is longer. Sure, the Nuggets work harder on the road. But nothing else is much different.
