The transition of the Indiana Pacers from an aging perimeter-shooting team to a younger, quicker, more athletic team that can score from inside or out is ahead of schedule, coach Isiah Thomas said Monday.

But after a home-and-home series against the Pacers' chief Central Division rival, the Milwaukee Bucks, Thomas will find out where his team truly stands.
