It's an interesting thought -- David Stern saying to Mark Cuban, "Okay, let's see your cards."  Kevin B. Blackistone (an alias if we ever heard one) writes about the possiblity of this scenario in the Boulder News.  Blackistone says that Cuban wouldn't ever be forced to show his hand and sell the Mavs if Stern demanded a draft pick for continuing his Dairy Queen ranting about refereeing.  Blackie's theory is that the league needs Cuban too much for Stern to ever up the ante to this level.  Interesting theory but don't ever underestimate the Stern one -- he's the guy that took on high-priced stars and agents and gave the NBA its salary-cap -- the other owners still owe him big-time for that little power play.
