- Strong numbers: The Clippers hit just 3-of15 3-point shots. Off the bench, Denver got 13 of 16 points from Voshon Lenard in the second quarter while Avery Johnson had 10 points and five assists.


- Wrong numbers: The Nuggets were outscored 37-21 in the first quarter. Nuggets guard Nick Van Exel scored 19 points but missed 15 of 22 shots. Denver was outscored 27-18 in the fourth quarter. Clippers forward Elton Brand had 31 points and 14 rebounds.
