It's not that the Pistons don't respect tonight's opponent, defending Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia. They certainly do.
But they aren't what you would call reverential.
"They (the Sixers) are playing well but at the same time, they are only a couple of games over .500. They are capable of being beat," forward Cliff Robinson said. "They are sitting on 20 losses just like we are. It's not the same Philly team of last year. They are still capable of playing a good game, but if we play the kind of game we are capable of, there is a good chance we will win."
The Pistons (24-21) are tied with Washington for the fifth playoff spot in the East. The Sixers (24-23) are one-game behind. Both teams are among the hottest in the East. The Sixers have won nine of 12, the Pistons eight of 11.
