MINNEAPOLIS ? Let's get this straight.

The Denver Nuggets, 4-17 on the road coming into Friday night, won in Minneapolis against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who were 21-3 at home.

The Nuggets, who hadn't won back-to-back road games in 13 months, pulled off the trick at Memphis and Minnesota despite missing their best two players ? Antonio McDyess and Nick Van Exel ? because of injuries.

Wonders will never cease for Denver, which won back-to-back games of any type for the first time in two months.

Raef LaFrentz scored 30 points, including a driving layup with three seconds to play, to give the Nuggets a 99-98 victory over the Timberwolves on Friday.

"This is the kind of game you live for," LaFrentz said.

The Nuggets rallied from a 14-point deficit for the victory.
