WASHINGTON ? Many things are different in the life of Terence Morris, but he isn't one of them.

In his rookie season as a forward for the NBA's Houston Rockets, Morris, a Frederick native, has adjusted to the hectic pace of life as a professional basketball player. He has worked his way into Houston's regular rotation and has garnered praise from his famous coach and All-Star teammates.

"As of right now, we're planning for Terence to be our swingman of the future," Francis said. "By this time, he's played 50-some games. It's like two seasons to him. He's kind of hit the rookie wall. But this summer and coming into next season, we're looking for him to be that (next) punch with me Cuttino (Mobley), Maurice Taylor and Eddie Griffin."

Tomjanovich likes what Morris brings to the Rockets: Size, range, wing-span, the ability to play more than one position and, most importantly, upside.
