This should have been a day for celebrating, but Alvin Williams couldn't justify it.

Despite the return of teammates Vince Carter and Hakeem Olajuwon to the lineup and the fact he dished out 14 assists to tie his career high, the Raptors point guard saw no reason to smile after a 101-92 loss to the Seattle Supersonics yesterday at the Air Canada Centre.

"Nah, not when you lose. Nothing else matters," said Williams, whose 14 assists eclipsed the season-high 12 he recorded against the Utah Jazz back on Nov. 10 in Salt Lake City and tied the career mark he set last March 23 against the Atlanta Hawks. "It's real disappointing, especially the way we've been playing."

"We started out well and felt like we were in control the whole way until we started to struggle late in the third quarter and early in the fourth."
