Jerry Stackhouse had no intention of playing Friday night against the Orlando Magic.

He changed his mind when he pulled up at the Palace and saw all the cars piling into the parking lot.

"It was a huge game and I just couldn't see myself sitting there with all the people coming in," said Stackhouse, who shook off a sore right shoulder and scored 23 points in the Pistons' 110-102 victory against the Magic.

"I said I was going to see how it felt," Stackhouse said as he prepared for the game. "I got a massage today and got it loose and feeling pretty good. It worked out all right."

Stackhouse made 10 of 18 shots from the field and added five rebounds.

"Every time was fine and then late in the game I got hit by Mike Miller and I felt it a little bit," Stackhouse said. "It feels good right now, but I'm on an emotional high. We're at a good point right now and we need to keep winning games."
