It may have been best that Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders didn't see the final 1? quarters of Monday night's 108-99 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
He probably was better off watching the game on television behind closed doors than being courtside to see his team's lethargic performance.
Things were bad for the Wolves while Saunders was on the sideline pestering the officials, and they got even worse after he was ejected midway through the third quarter.
The young-and-energetic Clippers looked like the veteran team, making the key baskets and coming up with the defensive stops. The Wolves, on the other hand, looked like the team with a habit of playing helter-skelter, out-of-control basketball.
The result: The Wolves are stuck in a season-high four-game losing streak.
"We're not playing very well right now," Saunders said. "There's nothing really to talk about. Right now we're playing with two left feet a little bit."
Saunders received his fifth ejection as the Wolves' coach with 7:51 remaining in the third quarter after questioning referee Jack Nies' offensive foul call on forward Kevin Garnett.
