In his first season with the Los Angeles Clippers power forward Elton Brand is already breaking records.  Needing only one offensive rebound against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday Brand was set to take over as the Clippers single-season record holder for offensive rebounding with 372.  He achieved this with 8:14 remaining in the first half, Elliot Teaford of the Los Angeles Times reports, then grabbed another three later for good measure.
Brand also scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Clippers 22 point win, tying a franchise record with Swen Nater (1980-81) for most double-doubles in a season.

"Individual accolades are great, but I'd rather trade it for a spot in the playoffs," Brand said. "Michael Cage [who set the franchise record with 371 offensive rebounds in 1987-88] definitely could hit the boards, so it's good to break that record."

Brand, a three year pro, currently leads the NBA in offensive rebounds for the third straight season.
