The (AP) reports: The Phoenix Suns signed both of their first-round draft picks -- Amare Stoudemire and Casey Jacobsen -- on Friday.
Stoudemire, a 19-year-old power forward from Cyprus Creek High School in Orlando, Fla., was the No. 9 overall pick in last week's NBA draft. Jacobsen, a sharpshooting swingman from Stanford, was the 22nd selection.
Under the bargaining agreement, rookie first-round contracts are for three years with a team option for a fourth season. The Suns retain right of first refusal for a fifth season.
