Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports that the Raptors are feeling the bite from the injury bug. The team that once had an abundance of big men is watching those numbers decrease daily.
Nate Huffman is the latest casualty thanks to a swollen right knee. Huffman did not travel with the team to Cleveland for its game last night against the Cavaliers, remaining in Toronto to have the injury treated. Huffman joins Eric Montross, Hakeem Olajuwon and Jerome Williams as big men on the shelf.
Team officials said Huffman is listed as day-to-day. So far, in three pre-season games, the NBA rookie has struggled and shown none of the outside shooting ability that made him attractive to the Raptors last summer.
