It is no secret that Eddy Curry has struggled over the past few weeks.  Guards have circled around his ankles, waiting for the Bulls big man to put the ball on the floor so they can strip it away.  Big men have been waiting for Curry to put up his soft jumper so they can send it back into the stands.

With teammate and fellow toddler Tyson Chandler performing and gaining rave reviews Curry needed a confidence booster, and according to Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald that may just be what he got against the Washington Wizards.

"I think I may have lost a little bit of confidence," Curry said after Thursday's practice. "Not enough to be down on myself. I think after a while, after playing bad ... you kind of need a big game or you need something to happen to you to spark it and just get back on the right path."

Curry was disappointed in his defensive game, collecting just one rebound to go along with his 15 points, and that was of the offensive variety.

"That's still a part of my game I have to get a lot stronger at," he said of rebounding. "I'm just right now looking for any success, whether it's rebounds, whether it's scoring or defense. I'm trying to improve on every part of my game, really just looking for a spark out there."

"With Eddy, it's all about the work," added coach Bill Cartwright said. "It's not about the confidence. It's just about how hard is he going to push himself and about the dedication. Athletically, he's terrific. He's big, he's quick, he's strong. Now he's got to use all those things to his advantage.

"And let's face it, Eddy's still learning how to play. That's not going to happen overnight."
