Martin McNeal of the Sacramento Bee reports: Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber could be back as soon as next week.

Webber has been out since last month with a sprained left ankle.

Kings Head coach Rick Adelman said Webber went through the team's shooting drills and then shot more before receiving treatment. He likely will not play this week, but barring setbacks, the initial three-week projection from Jan. 28, when he was injured, could prove accurate.

A team source hinted that Webber could return for the Feb. 18 game against Milwaukee, the Feb. 20 game against Boston or the Feb. 23 game against New York.

"Webb moved better than I expected him to," a relieved Adelman said.

Adelman also said guard Bobby Jackson and forward Lawerence Funderburke could be available Sunday when the Kings host San Antonio.

Jackson will have X-rays taken Thursday morning, and if they come back OK and Jackson practices a couple times, he could return against the Spurs. Adelman said Monday night was the first time Funderburke has been on the court in weeks, but the prospects for his return also looked encouraging.
