Twenty-two days after the Indiana Pacers' season ended, team president Donnie Walsh will conduct his first postseason meeting with the media today. He'll go it alone, without coach Isiah Thomas.

The unusual timing and format have fanned speculation that a coaching change could be forthcoming, but Pacers officials emphatically denied that Thursday.

"It's a postseason wrap-up press conference," media relations director David Benner said. "There is no major announcement."

Walsh has been unavailable to the media since the Pacers were eliminated by Boston on May 1 in Game 6 of the opening round of the playoffs. Team officials, however, said he has been busy meeting with players and coaches, tending to issues with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and attending his daughter's wedding.

Thomas, who completed his third season as Pacers coach, said Thursday that he sees no point in attending today's session.

"Most of the questions are going to be about free agency and stuff like that," Thomas said. "You're going to want to ask him those questions."

Also Thursday, a representative for Pacers forward Jermaine O'Neal refuted a report in the New York Post that claimed O'Neal wants teammates Ron Artest, Jamaal Tinsley and Ron Mercer to be traded.
