After losing assistant Eddie Jordan to Washington, the Nets organization could lose two more key members.

Ed Stefanski, the team's director of scouting, may be on the verge of becoming Portland's general manager in the next couple of days, league sources said. Also, Jordan has received permission from Nets president Rod Thorn to talk to assistant coach Mike O'Koren about joining the Wizards' staff. Jordan, hired on Wednesday as Washington's coach, could make O'Koren his lead assistant, which would be a step up.

Jordan also may lobby for Washington to look at Stefanski for its president of basketball operations opening. Stefanski, who could not be reached for comment, was in Seattle this week to interview with owner Paul Allen's Vulcan Inc., which is overseeing the hiring. The Blazers are also looking at Boston GM Chris Wallace and Blazers assistant GM Mark Warkentien, according to The Oregonian.
