A story in the Denver Post reported that unnamed sources said Clippers point guard Andre Miller will sign an offer sheet with the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, when the NBA's free-agent signing period starts. However, neither Miller, his agent nor the Nuggets confirmed that was a certainty on Sunday.

However, late Sunday night, The Associated Press reported that a source within the NBA said Miller has agreed to sign with the Nuggets.

Miller, the NBA's assists leader in 2001-02, is expected to sign the deal once the league's free agency period begins Wednesday, the source said on the condition of anonymity.

The Clippers will have 15 days to match the offer.

A call to the office of Miller's agent, Lon Babby, wasn't immediately returned Sunday night, according to the AP report.

Miller reportedly is poised to sign a six-year, $55 million contract. But Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe refused to say if his team made the offer to the point guard.
