Charlotte Bobcats owner Bob Johnson won't say how long he'll wait for Michael Jordan.
But Jordan's indecision on whether to become president of Charlotte's new NBA team won't stop the Bobcats from making other basketball hires.
"Michael is aware that (when jobs must be filled) is not under his control; it's under our control," Johnson said Monday. "He understands that and he accepts that."
Jordan hasn't commented publicly since Milwaukee Bucks owner Herb Kohl took that team off the market.
Sources say a group headed by Jordan was close to buying the Bucks last month.
"Michael is now considering what his options are," Johnson said. Whether "to come into basketball with an organization -- we would love it to be our organization -- or to sit at home and regroup or to get back into the purchasing market.
"He is still within my time frame of making a decision. So we're pretty much where we've always been."
