Ander- sen might be working out at the Pepsi Center, but there's still no guarantee he'll be return to the Nuggets.

"Possibly no," Andersen said when asked if he'll be back. "My mind's not made up."

Marc Fleisher, Andersen's agent, revealed last week that the Nuggets have offered Andersen, an unrestricted free-agent forward who has spent the past two seasons in Denver, a non-guaranteed contract for next season. Vandeweghe declined comment.

The Nuggets apparently want to keep their options open. They're trying to sign another big man (Seattle restricted free agent Predrag -Drobnjak is the top target) and Elson, a 1999 draftee who has played in Europe the past four seasons, could make the team after playing well in the summer leagues.

Fleisher says three teams, which he won't name, have offered Ander- sen guaranteed money. Andersen said Fleisher hasn't told him the teams because "he knows I'll slip up and tell somebody."

Andersen is hopeful the Nuggets will end up offering guaranteed money. If they don't, he might go elsewhere.
