Golden State free-agent point guard Earl Boykins on Friday signed a five-year contract in $13 million range with the Nuggets. The deal is pending approval from the NBA.

The small (5-5, 133 pounds) but speedy Boykins is expected to be introduced Monday at a news conference. He averaged 8.8 points and 3.3 assists last season while ranking 14th in the NBA in free-throw percentage (.865) and 10th in assists-per-turnover ratio (3.03).

"He's going to be very good," Vandeweghe said. "He can push the ball and the offense and defense."
