CHICAGO (AP) _ Chicago forward Tyson Chandler bruised his lower back midway through the second quarter of Friday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers and was not expected to return.

Chandler bruised his back when he dove into the stands while chasing a missed 3-pointer by teammate Kirk Hinrich. Chandler was down for several minutes and was escorted to the locker room.

Chandler, who missed the season opener with a lower a back injury, is averaging 15.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in four games.
