CLEVELAND (AP) Forward Jelani McCoy was released by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.
The 6-foot-10 McCoy played just 12 minutes in two games for Cleveland, which signed him in training camp.
McCoy has played with Seattle, the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto in his five-year NBA career. He averaged 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 67 games with the Raptors last season.
For now, the Cavaliers will carry 11 players on the roster. The team is expected to activate forward Ira Newble (knee injury) from the injured list on Saturday.
