SAN ANTONIO (AP) The Los Angeles Lakers are still undefeated, though it took massive efforts from Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal to get them past injury-ravaged San Antonio Spurs.

Bryant scored 37 after taking an embarrassing fall in the third quarter, and O'Neal had 35 points, 20 rebounds, six assists and four blocked shots as Los Angeles improved the league's best record to 5-0.

San Antonio was without injured starters Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, yet the defending champions got a career-high 33 points from Manu Ginobili. Five others reached double figures to push the game into two extra periods before it finally ended more than 3{ hours after it began.

Bryant shot 16-for-29 and added five rebounds and four steals, while O'Neal was 12-for-23 from the field and 11-for-16 at the foul line. His two free throws with 16.9 seconds left broke the last of 16 ties.

Neither team led by more than two in the first overtime, which Bryant and Ginobili each had a chance to end with a game-winner. Bryant's shot, however, missed from 18 feet and Ginobili misfired on a similar shot off an inbounds play with seven-tenths of a second left.

The Lakers took a 117-112 lead in the second overtime, but ex-Laker Robert Horry made two free throws and a 3-pointer to tie it.

O'Neal then made two free throws for a 119-117 lead. He deflected a 3-point attempt by Kevin Willis as time ran down.
