ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Magic forward Pat Garrity and guard Keith Bogans were activated before Friday night's game against Minnesota.

The Magic (1-4) have been awaiting the return of Garrity, who had two offseason operations on his right knee. Orlando hopes his 3-point shooting will spread the floor and ease the pressure on Tracy McGrady.

Bogans, a rookie from Kentucky, had tendinitis in his right knee.

To make roster room, the Magic placed swingman Gordan Giricek (arch) and forward Britton Johnsen (knee) on the injured list.

Giricek hurt his foot in Orlando's home opener Oct. 30. He had 11 points and seven rebounds in two games. Johnsen, an undrafted rookie who started Orlando's first three games, averaged 2.8 points.
