SEATTLE (AP) Ronald Murray, filling in for injured star Ray Allen, scored 24 points to lead Seattle over Portland.
Rashard Lewis added 21 points in Seattle's home opener, Brent Barry 20 and Vladimir Radmanovic 19 for the Sonics, who played for the first time in the week since a season-opening two-game series in Japan.
Rasheed Wallace scored 25 for Portland, and Zach Randolph had 19.
