The Magic fired coach Doc Rivers a few hours after Orlando lost its 10th game in a row on Monday night. The Magic led by as many as 13 points before the Utah Jazz rallied for a 90-88 win. The Magic have not won since opening night.

SNAPPED

New York snapped its eight-game losing streak against Boston with a 89-86 win Monday night.

BRICK HOUSE

Houston shot only 33 percent and Philadelphia 32 percent in the Rockets' 74-66 win Monday night. Each team scored 13 points in the third quarter, when the Sixers went 2-for-18 from the floor and the Rockets 5-for-24.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

Rasheed Wallace had 31 points and eight rebounds, and Zach Randolph had 26 points, 19 rebounds and six assists in Portland's 105-98 loss to Dallas on Monday night. ... Tracy McGrady had 29 points in Orlando's 90-88 loss to Utah.

REALIGNMENT

The NBA's board of governors approved a realignment plan Monday that creates three divisions of five teams each in the Eastern and Western conferences. The expansion Charlotte Bobcats were placed in the Eastern Conference and the New Orleans Hornets will move to the West.
