_ Chris Mihm, Cavaliers, had a career-high 21 points and added nine rebounds as Cleveland held off the Clippers 103-95.

_ Baron Davis, Hornets, had 25 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in New Orleans' 88-85 win over New Jersey.

_ Chauncey Billups, Pistons, had 24 points and eight assists to lead Detroit to a 106-96 win against the Lakers.

_ Kevin Garnett, Timberwolves, had 26 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists to help Minnesota beat Denver 89-76.

_ Amare Stoudemire, Suns, had 21 points and 10 rebounds as Phoenix snapped a three-game skid with a 95-82 victory over Chicago.

SUSPENDED

Guard Bonzi Wells was suspended for two games without pay by the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday for cursing at coach Maurice Cheeks after being taken out of Monday night's 105-98 loss at Dallas. Wells also was stripped of his co-captain's title.

FAN-FARE

The Minnesota Timberwolves honored their 10,000,000th fan during Tuesday night's 89-76 win over Denver. Donnie Sartori was greeted by balloons, confetti and cheerleaders as he passed through the gate. Sartori and his son were upgraded to courtside seats and will travel on the team's charter flight to Cleveland for Minnesota's game Friday against the Cavaliers.

IVERSON OUT

Allen Iverson was to miss Philadelphia's game against Toronto on Wednesday night because of an injured right knee. Iverson, who banged his knee in the first quarter of Friday night's game against San Antonio, didn't travel with the team to Toronto. Instead, he stayed in Philadelphia to receive treatment.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

In Golden State's 94-81 loss to San Antonio on Tuesday night, Erick Dampier led the Warriors with 21 points and 17 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double and ninth of the season in 10 games.

ROAD WOES

The Lakers lost their third straight on the road Tuesday night, 106-96 to Detroit. Los Angeles is 5-0 at home, 3-3 away.

FLIP SIDE

Ronald ``Flip'' Murray scored a career-high 31 points for Seattle in a 105-98 loss to Miami on Tuesday night. Murray scored 20 or more points for the eighth time in nine games since taking over as the starting shooting guard in place of injured Ray Allen.
