SUSPENDED
Portland guard Bonzi Wells was suspended for two games without pay by the Trail Blazers on Tuesday for cursing his coach after being taken out Monday night's 105-98 loss at Dallas. Wells also was stripped of his co-captain's title.
FAN-FARE
The Minnesota Timberwolves honored their 10 millionth fan during Tuesday night's 89-76 win over Denver. Donnie Sartori was greeted by balloons, confetti and cheerleaders as he passed through the gate. Sartori and his son were upgraded to courtside seats and will go on the team's charter flight to Cleveland for Minnesota's game Friday against the Cavaliers.
IVERSON OUT
Philadelphia guard Allen Iverson won't play against Toronto on Wednesday night because of an injured right knee. Iverson, who banged his knee in the first quarter of Friday night's game against San Antonio, didn't travel with the team to Toronto. Instead, he stayed in Philadelphia to receive treatment.
STRONG IN DEFEAT
In Golden State's 94-81 loss to San Antonio on Tuesday night, Erick Dampier led the Warriors with 21 points and 17 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double and ninth of the season in 10 games.
ROAD WOES
The Los Angeles Lakers lost their third straight on the road _ 106-96 to Detroit on Tuesday night _ to fall to 3-3 away from Staples Center.
FLIP SIDE
Ronald ``Flip'' Murray scored a career-high 31 points for Seattle during a 105-98 loss Tuesday night to Miami. Murray scored 20 or more points for the eighth time in nine games since taking over as the starting shooting guard in place of injured Ray Allen.
