SEATTLE (AP) The Memphis Grizzlies activated rookie swingman Dahntay Jones for Friday night's game at Seattle and placed another rookie, forward Theron Smith, on the injured list because of back spasms.

Jones, the 20th overall pick in last summer's NBA draft, went on the injured list Oct. 27 with a left ankle sprain. He was Duke's leading scorer with a 17.7 average last season.
