Kenyon Martin had season highs with 27 points and 14 rebounds as the Nets opened a five-game Western road trip one day after learning center Alonzo Mourning was retiring because his life-threatening kidney illness had worsened.
Rashard Lewis led Seattle with 14 points. The SuperSonics had 25 points in the second half to break the franchise record for fewest points in a half _ 26 set last Nov. 29 against Houston.
Kings 109, Grizzlies 89
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) Peja Stojakovic scored 26 points to help Sacramento beat Memphis for the eighth straight time.
Mike Bibby added 16 points and six assists in the Kings' sixth straight victory. The Kings improved to 8-0 at home this season with their 15th straight victory at Arco.
Pau Gasol had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies.
Wizards 81, Trail Blazers 80
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Larry Hughes' driving layup with 10.4 seconds left lifted Washington past Portland.
Hughes led Washington with 22 points. The Wizards played with top scorer Gilbert Arenas, sidelined by an abdominal sprain.
Zach Randolph had 24 points and 15 rebounds for Portland.
