BOSTON (AP) Paul Pierce hit the winning jumper over Antoine Walker with 20 seconds left and Walker missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Boston beat Dallas.

That ended a bad night for Walker, traded to Dallas in a six-player deal on Oct. 20. He finished with seven points with seven rebounds and eight assists in his return to Boston.

Jiri Welsch, one of the players the Celtics obtained for him, had a career-high 21 points.

Pierce led the Celtics with 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, and Walter McCarty added 18 points.

The Mavericks were led by Dirk Nowitzki with 30 points and Antawn Jamison with 21.

Spurs 73, Raptors 70

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Tony Parker made a free throw with 7.9 seconds left to preserve San Antonio's victory and stretched its winning streak to eight.

Parker had 13 points, and Tim Duncan had 30 points and 13 rebounds in helping the Spurs improve to 10-1 against Eastern Conference teams.

Rasho Nesterovic grabbed 10 rebounds.

Before their current streak, the Spurs were 9-10 and at the bottom of the Midwest division. Now they are in first place, a half-game ahead of Dallas.

The Raptors, who lost their fourth straight, were led by Donyell Marshall's 19 points and 14 rebounds.
