Atlanta lost at New York 103-92 Saturday night. The Hawks haven't won at Madison Square Garden since March 22, 1999 _ a span of eight games. New York's Allan Houston made six free throws, extending his streak to 37 straight. ... San Antonio extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 101-91 victory over Portland. ... MILESTONE

New Orleans' 94-89 win over Memphis on Saturday night gave coach Tim Floyd his 18th victory of his first season with the Hornets. Floyd never had more than 17 victories in a season while coaching a rebuilding Chicago Bulls team for three-plus seasons after Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan and other top players left.

SLUMPING

Indiana lost to Minnesota 102-80 Saturday night, continuing its inconsistent shooting by hitting on just 35 percent of its field goals. It was the Pacers' worst shooting performance of the season and their third consecutive game under 40 percent. The Pacers are just 6-6 in their last 12 games after starting the season 14-2.
